But his reliance on scrolls often masked a deep fear of the real world, where problems couldn't be solved by turning a page.

As the series unfolds, Starflight discovers that his father is actually a SkyWing, making him a hybrid — a revelation that shatters his sense of identity but ultimately frees him from the rigid expectations of his tribe. After surviving the volcanic destruction of the NightWing island, he finds his true calling as the librarian of Jade Mountain Academy. His arc is a testament to the courage found not in fangs or fire, but in the stubborn pursuit of truth and the willingness to protect others with knowledge instead of violence.

The scroll was old, its edges frayed and smelling of dust and forgotten ages. Starflight held it as if it were made of gold — or perhaps something more precious, like a memory of a world he had never seen.
