Webs
The reluctant guardian who helped the dragonets escape their prison—and carried the weight of a deadly secret.
Webs is a male SeaWing who served as a teacher at the Jade Mountain Academy, but his past is far more complex and shadowy. Once a member of the Talons of Peace, he was deeply involved in the secret plan to end the War of SandWing Succession by fulfilling a mysterious prophecy. His role as a guardian to the dragonets of destiny, particularly as the one who raised and trained them in a hidden cave, makes him a pivotal, if often overlooked, figure in the series' foundational events.

Lore & Background
Webs was one of the five guardians chosen by the Talons of Peace to raise the dragonets of destiny in secret. As a SeaWing, he brought a calm, scholarly presence to the group, but his loyalty was tested when he was forced to follow orders he didn't fully believe in. He taught the dragonets history, reading, and survival skills, but his most significant act was secretly helping them escape their cave, a decision that changed the course of the war.
After the war, Webs found a new purpose as a teacher at Jade Mountain Academy, where he could share his knowledge without the burden of prophecy. He is known for his patience and quiet wisdom, but he carries the guilt of his past actions—including his role in the death of another dragon. His relationship with the dragonets, especially Clay, remains complex: they remember him as both a captor who kept them in a cave for years and a mentor who risked everything to set them free.
In Their Own Story
The cave was damp and dark, lit only by the faint glow of Webs' own scales. He watched the five dragonets sleep, their dreams undisturbed by the weight of the prophecy they carried. 'You'll be free soon,' he whispered, his voice barely a ripple in the still air. 'I promise.'
But his missing eye still ached in the cold, a constant reminder of the war he had fled—and the choices he could never undo.
