In the books, Peril is the most prominent Firescales dragon, and her journey highlights the condition's limitations: she cannot touch others without harming them, must avoid water (which causes painful steam), and lives in isolation. Despite this, Firescales makes her nearly invulnerable in combat, as any physical attack on her results in injury to the attacker.
