The Lost Continent was once a lush, thriving landmass where three tribes—SilkWings, HiveWings, and LeafWings—lived in relative harmony under the guidance of the ancient LeafWing queen, Sequoia. However, centuries ago, the HiveWings, led by Queen Wasp, launched a brutal war against the LeafWings, nearly driving them to extinction. The surviving LeafWings fled into the deep jungle, while the HiveWings enslaved the SilkWings, forcing them to produce silk and serve as laborers in a rigid caste system.

Queen Wasp's rule is maintained through her unique mind-control ability, which allows her to control any dragon who has eaten her venom. This power extends across the continent, enforced by a network of loyal HiveWing soldiers and the mysterious 'Othermind'—a parasitic plant that amplifies her control. The SilkWings, born without wings and forced to undergo metamorphosis, are kept docile through a combination of propaganda and fear, while the LeafWings secretly plot rebellion from their hidden sanctuaries.

The continent's geography is dominated by massive, organic hives—living structures made of wax and silk—that serve as cities for the HiveWings and SilkWings. The jungles are dense and dangerous, filled with poisonous plants and predatory creatures, while the mountains hide ancient LeafWing strongholds. The Breath of Evil, a mysterious and deadly plant-like substance, threatens to consume the entire continent, forcing an unlikely alliance between the tribes.

A young SilkWing named Blue stood on the edge of the SapWing Hive, watching the sun set over the jungle canopy. Below, HiveWing guards patrolled the streets, their stingers glinting in the fading light. He clutched a small, glowing flower—a gift from a mysterious stranger—and wondered if the legends of the LeafWings were true. Somewhere out there, in the uncharted wilds, a rebellion was brewing. And for the first time in his life, Blue dared to hope.

The Lost Continent is an archipelago of large islands, each dominated by a Hive—a towering, organic metropolis built from wax and silk, pulsing with the hum of thousands of wings. The largest island, Pantala, contains the central Hives: Bloodworm Hive (where crimson-stained streets reek of iron), Jewel Hive (a glittering maze of gem-encrusted towers), Wasp Hive (Queen Wasp's fortress of black wax and venom), and others. These Hives are connected by a network of silk bridges and tunnels that sway high above the jungle floor, and each is ruled by a HiveWing governor loyal to Queen Wasp.

Climate varies from humid tropical jungles where the air is thick with the scent of rot and blossoms, to temperate forests where the trees whisper with leafspeak. The Poison Jungle, a dense, deadly rainforest where every vine can sting and every flower can choke, is home to the surviving LeafWings and contains the Tree Wars—a conflict zone where LeafWings guerrilla-fight HiveWing patrols among the roots. The mountains of the Claws of the Clouds hold ancient LeafWing ruins carved with forgotten prophecies, while the Scorpion Den is a lawless trading post where outcasts trade secrets for survival.

• The Lost Continent was originally connected to Pyrrhia by a land bridge that sank beneath the ocean—some dragons whisper that the bridge was destroyed on purpose to keep the continents apart.
• SilkWings undergo metamorphosis, growing wings only after a cocoon stage, unlike other dragon tribes; during this time, they are completely helpless and vulnerable to HiveWing inspection.
