Lore & Background

Glacier ascended to the IceWing throne after her predecessor's death, quickly establishing herself as a ruler who prized strength and loyalty above all. Her reign was defined by the long-simmering war with the NightWings—a conflict fueled by generations of territorial disputes and ancient grudges over the lost IceWing animus eggs. Glacier was renowned for her icy composure, rarely betraying emotion, but she was fiercely devoted to her subjects and would go to extreme lengths to protect them, even if it meant making unpopular choices.

Her most notable act was allying with Burn during the War of SandWing Succession. This was a pragmatic decision: Glacier saw Burn as the likeliest victor and wanted to secure IceWing interests—access to warmer trade routes and a buffer against NightWing expansion. However, this alliance later put her at odds with the dragonets of destiny, who sought to end the war peacefully. Glacier's death came during the final battle, when she was killed by NightWing queen Battlewinner in a confrontation that also claimed Battlewinner's life. Her legacy is that of a queen who ruled with an iron claw, but whose heart was always with her tribe.

In Their Own Story

The snow fell thick and silent over the Ice Kingdom, muffling the world in a blanket of white. Queen Glacier stood at the edge of the Great Ice Cliff, her pale blue scales blending with the frost. Below, her warriors drilled in formation, their breath pluming in the cold air. She did not flinch when a messenger arrived, breathless, with news of the SandWing war's escalation. 'Burn demands more troops,' the messenger said. Glacier's eyes, like chips of frozen sapphire, narrowed. 'Then she will have them. The IceWings do not break promises.' She turned away, her mind already calculating the cost—in lives, in resources, in the future of her tribe. But for Glacier, there was no other path. The IceWings would endure, as they always had, even if she had to freeze the world itself to ensure it.
